“With a view to the target group of Sonepar Germany, the focus for us during development was that the app should be very user-friendly and run equally well on an Apple and Android smartphone. We succeeded in this,” informs Urs Marti from ieffects ag in Zurich. The app was tailored to the needs of the innovative wholesaler and meets the high performance requirements of end customers ranging from electricians and electrical retailers to the automotive industry.

Mobile ordering extra smart

  • Easy ordering: Barcodes in the catalog or labels placed in the warehouse (incl. Kanban labels with units of measure) are scanned directly. Just specify the order quantity and you’re done!
  • Mobile and desktop: If required, the filled shopping cart can first be temporarily stored in the online store. This way, you can get an overview at your desktop before the order is definitely sent.
  • Off- and online: Scanning also works offline. This is important when a good network is not available everywhere in the camp. A WLAN connection is only required when the order is placed.
  • Reliable: Transmission errors during order transmission are avoided and the database is always kept up to date. To ensure that the correct article is always selected, direct visual feedback can be called up via barcode scan.
  • Flexible: Are there several employees in a warehouse who use the app? Then the Scan-to-Order app is ideal, because it can be configured according to the number of employees: For multiple users, it is recommended to select the “direct logout after checkout” option during installation.
  • Quick: And once the shelf is empty? ieffects has also thought of this: In this case, the barcode can simply be scanned from the shelf or from the catalog.
