We are currently experiencing a period reminiscent of past upheavals. In the late 90s, the internet emerged. It was a major breakthrough – and suddenly everyone had a computer at home. In the same year, the MP3 format gained popularity and forever changed the music world. CD stores disappeared, but in their place, new forms of experiencing and sharing music arose. Every end was simultaneously a new beginning.
